Air Jordan 2010

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

AJ2010 Team JordanReleased Feb. 13th! The all new Air Jordan 25 appears to live up to all of the hype. It employes several new technologies and a few favorites consistent with the Jordan Brand over the last few AJ iterations. These include a full length low profile zoom air unit, deployed in a new position – closest to the ground, right above the sole.  This should allow for a more customized fitted cushion in the footbed while still providing the impact padding and springy support we are used to.  An additional zoom-air unit is located in the heel to help with jump impact.  The unique “gimmick” of the AJ2010 is a see through circle in the upper.  It provides breathability and transparency… into your sock.  We are guessing there will be some custom socks  with the Jordan Brand Logo on the side appearing in stores.

See more pictures here and a video here.  Also see the Jumpman 23 website with a full set of features and descriptions about the New Air Jordans.

Jordan Brand Team Shoes 09

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

Air Jordan brand has released several great performance shoes this year.  Keynoted by the Air Jordan 24 and punctuated with the addition of several throwbacks and built for style mix and match across the years conglomeration shoes, the Jordan Brand has successfully played to the booming streetwear only market.  We often see the streetwear shoes on the court, but understandably the technology and performance harkens back to the previous era when these shoes were popular.

Below are the Jordan Brand shoes designed for some real action.  The Jordan 09 is a great all around performer and except for its wieght issue is a solid long lasting kick with its own unique style.  Also seen below are the  Jordan Hallowed Ground which is a mix of the past shoe that actually does perform, the Jordan Element – a next generation of Air Jordan, the Jordan CP3, Jordan Ol’ School III, the Melo M6, the Air Jordan DMP 7, the Jordan Schoolin, Jordan Dentro, Jumpman Elite, Jordan 2.5 Team Shoe and finally the Jordan Flight 45.  You could also play in the Jordan 6 rings… however my personal experience with the sole cushioning was poor enought the first time around that I’ll forgo adding it to this list :)

Jordan Brand has made an effort in the Team Shoe category by offering multiple colorways in the Jordan Team Shoe, and with the Jumpman Elite, Melo M6 and finally the Jordan Ol School.

Being the most anticipated sneaker of the year, the Jordan XI “Space Jam” is a must for every heads closet.  Worn by Michael Jordan in the 1996 film “Space Jam” – will be re-released later this year. The black on black Jordan 11 has been one of the holy grails of sneaker collectors for 14 years, and still remains relevant today. Not only did Jordan wear these on the silver screen, but also during the 1995-96 NBA Season where he won the championship and was crowned MVP.  In stores November 27th, 2009.

As one of the very first Jordan Brand hybrids, the initial launch of the Air Jordan Spiz’ike led to some mixed feelings from both sneaker fans and Jordan enthusiasts as like. However as hybrids become fully integrated into the realm of sneakers, shoes like the Spiz’ike have inevitably gained acceptance. Upcoming is the release of a classic black/red colorway of the Spiz’ike as previewed here. Set for an early 2010 launch, the shoes are avaialable now at OSneaker.com and Eastbay
