Sprained Ankle Injury and Rehab

Monday, March 8th, 2010

If you are a basketball player… you have sprained your ankle. Dealing with the injury is very important, not only to get you back on the court but to ensure that you don’t have any permanent damage. Our ankle anatomy page is designed to help you deal with the immediate injury and also prevent further injury by education. Learn more on the ankle anatomy & injury page.

We recommend few ankle braces based on our experience and testing. Our favorite ankle brace is the Rocket Sock, but this is normally only prescribed by a doctor (we found them available here). If you have permanent ligament damage and your doctor recommends a brace – be sure to request the Rocket Sock! We also have shopped around and tested several different ankle braces. These are the ones endorse for online ordering: Adidas Ankle Brace & ASO EVO Ankle Brace

Nike Zoom Flight Windmill

Monday, April 27th, 2009

The Nike Flight Windmill is ideal if you are the athlete who represents the notion of today?s high flyers. This product is lightweight and provides support and comfort. It’s lightweight, weighing in at approximately 12.1 ounces. The upper was engineered using textile/compression mesh. This shoe will be the featured shoe in the Dunk Contest at All-Star weekend in New Orleans. You will see several professional players on court in the Nike Flight Windmill basketball shoe.

Synthetic-leather upper with a breathable base layer as a second skin delivers an amazing fit and comfort. Forefoot lock-down strap provides a secure fit. Zoom Air unit in the heel for responsive cushioning.

Only complaint is the height of the shoe and the angle at which the ankle support meets the ankle bone. This causes some discomfort. Over all though – its a great performer. Get em….
